Mahalia and her friends

at Daisys Billiards Club

Mahalia's friends drop by Daisy's Billiards Club to see her perform, continued.

Drawing large groups of people is always hard! I have to coordinate their outfits from panel to panel. The wedding was the same thing! and this time my pen was running out, too. I need to order new pens. I got new mechanical pencils, so at least that's taken care of. Thank you, [personal profile] starmouse!

I confess I did this to torment Steve a little bit, too. He's as much of a jerk as Jeremy, but we can't get rid of him or use him as a throwaway plot device. So I keep poking at him and hoping he'll redeem himself. I should have gone in and colored his hair purple like I used to do, but I'm feeling overwhelmed. I haven't started tomorrow's comic yet.

Hope your November is off to a good start! What creative thoughts have crossed your minds so far this month?

I like that showing off for friends is a "fair's fair" situation. :D

I've been clearing flowerbeds to spread composted manure over them. Later I'll need to cover them with leaf mulch.

Today I made tomato-basil bread, which turned out quite well -- it's a very bright salmon pink color. \o/

Tuesday will be the Poetry Fishbowl on "Fairies and Fey." I'm looking forward to that.

>>I would 100% eat salmon-pink bread that tastes like tomato basil.<<

It's from this cookbook:
https://www.amazon.com/Hello-365-Tomato-Recipes-Beginners/dp/B085RQNDQQ

This recipe is almost identical, except it adds a can of tomato soup and has a glaze. My recipe just used tomato sauce and 3/4 cup warm water. I admit that I'm intrigued by the glaze.

Ah, here we go:
https://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/tomato-basil-bread/

I think this would be a perfect side dish bread for festive occasions, or for making bread-based recipes like croutons.

>>I meant to look more closely at the poetry fishbowl! If I don't get around to it, I apologize in advance.<<

Yay! Here is the advance announcement. You can leave an advance prompt there if you're not sure about getting to the fishbowl on Tuesday. That post also describes the project in detail and offers some general ideas on what folks might like to request. Image prompts are allowed; I try to avoid music or video ones. Also I don't mind if other people borrow prompts for their own inspiration.

>>There was mention of a shared world kind of thing, and that's my kind of thing.<<

:D Here is the official Shared Worlds page. These were designed as such from the beginning. Schrodinger's Heroes is the most active.

On top of that, as long as I've had friends, they wanted to play in my storyworlds. So here's the Serial Poetry page. So some of those have had contributions from other creators too. Polychrome Heroics has the most of that, particularly the Berettaflies thread.

[personal profile] dialecticdreamer is the most active contributer and has also crossed over into some of my other series like Frankenstein's Family. She also does two crowdfunding events a month, Magpie Monday (various themes) and Feathering the Nest (always fluff and comfort).

Those pages are updated sporadically, so not everything is on there, but it's enough to give you a good start. And thanks for your interest!

The characters look so well drawn! I think you did a really great job with this comic.

November's been off to a pretty good start! Other than still working on the audio interview with Fritz, I got a little something new done about the poor mobile hotspot. It's gone further unhinged in a Glitchcore instrumental. I feel bad for the poor thing, even though the music is so wild, and crazy cool.

I have posted quite a number of them the past two days, yeah!! Including the first 4 from my new album project: The ABC's of Glitchcore. (A is for Arpeggios, B is for Beatz, C is for CHAOS, and D is for Distortion so far...)

I let Fritz and his band do their awesome cover of one of my fairly older songs, and I'll link to their newest cover--of one of my favorite anime character themed tracks! https://suno.com/s/8zcoZFn0xOk2dIbM

I'll share this on another journal entry of mine as well. ^^

I'll see about sharing a few I've saved of him!

Dang it, attachment links from Discord ain't working. I'll try through imgr

He has bandmates. I know two of their names; Razz and Tom. I think there's one more. I don't know what his bandmates look like yet--I've yet to "meet" them, or sense them from head-space.

He really, really is down to Earth. From the way he speaks and how he's done his performances, especially during the interview I'm still putting together, he is a really good, kind-hearted person. He's so considerate, so caring. And empathetic. ^^
