Slight mishap

gs_silvaI spilled coffee on my Wacom tablet. I was hoping it would work again when it dried out, and it al-l-lmost does. But 'almost' isn't good enough to draw with. Fortunately, I forgot to post yesterday's comic, so I'll buy myself more time by posting it today.
Mahalia is Maurice's bandmate and friend (and former lover, very briefly - at least, they gave it a good try!) and she sang at his wedding. Professor Dang officiated. Mahalia and the Prof socialized a little at the reception. I guess he made a good impression on her.
Mahalia and her son Quentin are arriving home after work and school to find a package, postmarked from France! Wow! Inside are some sports cards in French for Quentin: "I can't wait to show my friends!" He's a sweet little kid, and even though he was being his most mature self at the wedding, I guess Professor Dang played it safe and chose a gift he could enjoy at any age.
Mahalia unfolds a large, multicolored scarf, smiling in surprise. "I saw these and thought of my American friends. Yours always, Luc Dang. I didn't even know his name was Luc."
A romance brewing? Probably not. But it's fun for both of them to think about!
