Alien Romance, the daily comic strip

We've hardly seen the ravers who live in the apartment below Maurice, Ren, and Cathy. Many years ago, Owen and Seth were significant supporting characters and personal friends of the alien gang. They'd come to study group and parties and such. I almost wrote them out of the story altogether, but now I feel like it's time to bring them back in. They do have one major scene, where they find a bedraggled and frantic Cathy on their front stoop and invite her in for a shower.

They hold raves in their home. Where is the landlord in all this? Who knows!

My daily comic strip (sometimes delayed, because I have a lot of stuff going on and I have CFS/ME so the fatigue hits me hard sometimes) appears here and on my Patreon page where you can see additional commentary for free. Sometimes. Not today. It's the same commentary today.

Aw, me too - I'm trying to write in between appointments and obligations, but it's like dancing between raindrops, and I still end up both tired and wet. Hope it gets better.

Absentee landlords are the norm now. Not all of them even bother with a building supervisor or handyman. Less chance of being bothered about what you do there, but good luck getting anything fixed.

Hahaha. So true.

I was planning to play up the Alien Crew doing home repairs all the time, but all I've managed was one panel of Maurice under the kitchen sink, and a few scenes where they're bundled up against the draughts in winter, but all of that got cut.

I started to go through my abandoned scenes awhile ago, and there was some stuff in there that was reusable, but i need to put the effort in. You're right; it is easier than drawing each one from scratch every time! Well, except for the particularly messy ones.

If you choose to refine a messy drawing, then you can get two posts from it: post the sketch first and then the cleanup. It shows how art works, and some readers enjoy that.
