Cathy and Maurice discuss children part 2

"Little girls are terrible," Cathy tells Maurice in response to his wish for two daughters. "Lydie and I fought like cats all the time."

"Well, everyone has disputes sometimes," replies Maurice, catching onto Cathy's use of the verb 'disputer' (Because I actually wrote the comic in French; this is the English translation) which Cathy used so she could cover both arguments and full-fledged brawls.

"Maybe our girls will be best friends," Maurice adds.

"Lydie and I WERE best friends!" Cathy says, grinning while holding a cup of coffee. "We are still. But very competitive."

Maurice pours himself a cup too. "Boys are more competitive."

"Non," Cathy insists. "One time, I pushed Lydie into a fountain so I could take her pastry."

Translations are not guaranteed to be word for word or even necessarily correct. I'm still learning French, and I rely on reverso.net and then try to check my grammar and word usage on other language resource sites, but it's a lot of work and sometimes I just want to get it done. If you're better at this than me, I welcome corrections.

I've been waffling between digital and paper art again because my devices are experiencing various technical problems, so I'm having to dodge and weave to get anything done at all. My phone can't cross-post between my Patreon and this blog. My laptop's adblock has blocked Facebook (which I use sometimes as a hosting site, although it doesn't work very well) and my Wacom tablet and stylus have intermittent malfunctions.

All this to say...

I'm trying to keep this webcomic alive! It's challenging, but I won't let the challenges defeat me. Thank you all for sticking with me! The scattering of likes and comments keep me going, and on days when I'm hanging by a thread due to low energy and high overwhelm, that makes all the difference.

And some days I can't hold onto that thread, but I try to grab it again when I'm able.
